2008 Spring Tips
It’s time to get out and start enjoying our landscapes again. Things to look for:

Broken limbs Heavy snowfall weighs down branches and can cause splitting and breakage. For larger limbs or trees with significant damage, call our office to schedule a visit with an arborist.

Winter injury Check for viable buds on affected stems – some plants will re-sprout vigorously. For more information on winter injury, click here.

Mulching Annual mulch applications can lead to mulch build-up, which can do more harm than good. For more information about mulches and mulching, click here.

We are also starting our Horticultural Oil treatments, and will begin European winter moth and fungicide treatments later in April. For more information on our Plant Health Care program, click here.
