Other
Treatments
We also offer additional treatments for very specific tree and landscape issues.
These include the application of growth regulators, anti-dessicants and bio-stimulants.
Growth Regulators Paclobutrazol is a
material that slows the growth of trees. It also produces
numerous beneficial side effects including increased
fine root production and increased drought tolerance.
This can be useful for controlling the size of a large
or fast growing tree in a confined area. It can also
be used as a remedial treatment for trees that are stressed
from root damage or poor sit conditions.
Anti-desiccants This treatment is used
to protect broad leaf evergreens such as rhododendron,
mountain laurel, hollies, etc. from winter damage. It
is a specialized wax that forms a protective coating
over leaves, preventing water loss and foliar damage.
Treatments are generally made in November and last for
one season.
